Sarah’s Story<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday 3rd October 2021 I will be taking part in the Virtual London Marathon in memory of my Dad and to raise money for The Oesophageal Patients Association.<\/p>\n

The Virtual Marathon still requires me to complete 26.2 miles on the day but I can do this in my local area and to paraphrase the great Frank Sinatra, one of Dad’s favourites, I can do it My Way!<\/p>\n

Unlike the proper runners doing the proper Marathon, I will be trotting, skipping, dancing, but mostly walking my way around the 26.2 miles.<\/p>\n

Dad was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in 2016. At the time we found very little information available to help us find ways to manage the effects of the disease until I found The Oesophageal Patients Association.<\/p>\n

The Oesophageal Patients Association has gone from strength to strength and now provides a wealth of information for patients and their families. I’d like to help make sure that anyone faced with this diagnosis continues to have these valuable resources available to them.<\/p>\n

Please support my crazy endeavour to raise funds for this much needed organisation and feel free to come and trot, skip, dance, walk with me for a mile or 2 and remember my Dad.<\/p>\n
