We have recently published new guidance for charitable institutions working with professional fundraisers<\/a> and commercial participators<\/a>. Working with professional fundraisers or commercial participators can help charities meet their fundraising goals, access new skills, knowledge and experience, and increase public awareness. However, there are legal requirements with which the charitable institution and the professional fundraiser or commercial participator need to comply. You can read more in our guidance<\/a>, and also our accompanying\u00a0blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Levy renewal invoices are due to be sent later this month. Those that pay the levy (organisations which spend \u00a3100,000 or more each year on their fundraising activities) will be contacted about this by email, so please check your details are up to date in our Registered Users’ Area<\/a>. In the meantime, you can check the fee you pay on our website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In September, we are also launching the second and final part of our consultation on the new draft of the Code of Fundraising Practice, redrafted following our original consultation in late 2023<\/a>. This will give fundraising organisations the chance to see what the revised draft code looks like and let us know your thoughts before we launch\u00a0it next year. More details will be shared soon on how you can get involved and share your views.<\/p>\n
